Wurm online free trial

And then you go to multi account sub fee reduction? Isn't that kinda a contradiction? Yes, there are some who pay full price for both - but in this instance, the way it "works" is by guessing that MORE people will pay a reduced cost than there are currently paying the full cost.

Hope that helps clarify. Rolf would stand to lose money since a lot of people still only play one character. As far as I'm actually concerned he can limit accounts to a maximum of 2 per person, does anyone really need or more alts? Heck I wouldn't mind not paying and being limited to 70 for a few months, where's the incentive to buy premium then? Basically some freeloading craptard can roll up and play for months or more unless they turbonerd something to 70 before they even have to think about getting premium?

As you can see these are all terrible ideas. Wurm playerbase numbers have always fluctuated after Devs change stuff and the wallet warriors have a collective hissy fit. The drops look more dramatic than they are because the people hissy fitting are generally the same people who go out and spend fat wads on different alts because they can't skill an account. So that everyone still has to pay the current price, but if you want to pay for more accounts, you get a bit of a discount.

So yes, more money for Rolf, and cheaper alts for everyone Perhaps with a bit of personal modification. Lowering the fee and raising the free cap slightly may encourage more players. It may also encourage more subscribed alts.

I am not sure if the revenue for Code Club AB would be the same or would drop, but it would perhaps increase the populations on all the servers and make the game seem more alive. Allowing everyone a free character on WO but having them pay for any alts full subscription fee for alts is my other idea. Not sure how great it would be in practice we could have a griefing problem start up , and it would definitely mean lower profits for the devs, but it should spike up our population.

The problem is that WO is now competing with WU servers. Yes, WO offers more stability, longevity and a more developped world, but this comparisson looks very different in the eyes on a new player who just stumbled on the Wurm world. We - the WO players - know our perceived benefits of staying on WO. But a new players who comes in sees two types of servers.

The official ones with subscription and many private ones without. To them, the difference that WO offers is not a factor.

They have not experienced it. And nowadays, the free, private server model seems to be the meta. A lot of other games do it, so new players are familiar and comfortable with the concept. The no fee on most private servers is a real magnet. We need to realize that in WO, we are now competing with the private WU servers that seem more attractive to a new player.

Perhaps looking at the subscription model and how it can be tweaked while still keeping WO servers up for many, many years and the developer budget healthy is required. I just thought, that it would be good idea for Code Club to reconsider the way subscription works since now WU looks more appealing for new players.

I'm just afraid, that in 5 years there won't be many new people to play with in WO. How can I convince friends to play WO? If I wouldn't play on official servers so long, I wouldn't start now. I would choose WU, because there I pay once and can play as long as I want. Here I need to renew my subscription and spend much more money for very similar sometimes worse - Xanadu lags and mobs, no mods, deed upkeep; rarely better - GMs, stability experience. The more premium alts, the more CC makes.

When sub prices went up allot of alts where dropped. All 1, Positive Negative All 1, Steam Purchasers 0 Other 1, All Languages 1, Your Languages 1, Customize. Date Range.
