Cloudera hadoop installation

So, there is no need for us to worry about installing all these software separately. Note: VirtualBox allows us to run multiple operating systems as virtual machines in our computer at the same time. Since the host and guest machines are running on different operating systems we are unable to share files between our Windows host and Linux guest VM. Correct me if I'm wrong, I found out that i can install this platform either ways: base installation, as starting from scratch, I have to set-up the right server e. I did try this method using some official guide from Apache Hadoop, however, I encounter dozens of issues for installations and configuration, thus, i moved to the second way, I found that third party as cloudeara provide a wonderful service as CDH4, 5 whereby this package will install on my behalf all Hadoop required stuff, where i can start as simple as single node then you can move to multi nodes.

Sounds good however before I mention the challenge in here i would like to mention the third method to start Hadoop, cloudeara as well provide a great service VM whereby complete package included OS server, at top running Hadoop platform. But I would like to ask, how can i verify whether the system is really operating right? Last but not least I will operate the third way which is cloudeara VM, and I wish that i can pick some to understand that platform better way.
