Diddy Kong Racing DS , on the other hand, messes up the controls while removing playable characters! This should have been the revival of the Diddy Kong Racing brand, but it very well may have permanently killed it instead.
Why would anyone want to play a racing game with touch controls? The fact the game reviewed as well as it did is a testament to the nostalgia fans have for the original. GoldenEye Reloaded is a fundamentally bad game with uninspired level design, basic gunplay, and a neutered multiplayer mode compared to the original.
This is not the same GoldenEye so many fans grew up with and it shows. Not only does it add a bunch of new content, it straight up adds new, playable games to the mix. So where does it go wrong?
When it comes down to it, Sonic Adventure DX looks, plays, and sounds bad. The graphics are disgustingly glossy, the controls are far too slippery, and the audio quality leaves a lot to be desired.
This was a game built for DreamCast hardware and it shockingly shows. It was barely an upgrade over the GameCube, keeping it perpetually in last place when it came to hardware last generation. PG 98 min Comedy, Family. With his wife doing a book tour, a father of twelve must handle a new job and his unstable brood. Again I like Steve Martin, but if he keeps making unnecessary and bad remakes like this one and Pink Panther I might just start hating him.
PG 88 min Horror, Mystery. Donna's senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, though a sadistic killer from her past has different plans for her and her friends.
This movie is boring. The most boring horror film I have ever seen in a theater. So much so I considered walking out, but since I paid nearly ten dollars to see this piece of crap I stayed and watched the rest of it, and you know what I regretted not walking out. PG 98 min Action, Adventure, Thriller. On New Year's Eve, the luxury ocean liner Poseidon capsizes after being swamped by a rogue wave. The survivors are left to fight for their lives as they attempt to escape the sinking ship.
R 89 min Comedy, Romance. And that's coming from the film's director. PG 85 min Horror, Mystery, Thriller. A newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident.
Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved. This movie made me so angry, probably because the original is one of my favorite horror films of all time.
And this was so bad. So appallingly bad. PG min Fantasy, Horror, Mystery. A study in fear escalates into a heart-stopping nightmare for a professor and three subjects trapped in a mysterious mansion. I knew this movie was bad when I first saw it, but I didn't realize just how bad it was until I saw the original. R min Drama, Horror, Mystery. The original is taunt suspenseful thriller. The remake has hammy and over the top performances with a happy Hollywood ending that ruins the message of the original film.
R 98 min Crime, Horror. After picking up a traumatized young hitchhiker, five friends find themselves stalked and hunted by a deformed chainsaw-wielding loon and his family of equally psychopathic killers. PG min Comedy, Crime, Sport. Adam Sandler stopped being funny in the late 90's. This movie is offensive for how unfunny it is, and Sandler should be banned from making any more movies.
An alien invasion threatens the future of humanity. The catastrophic nightmare is depicted through the eyes of one American family fighting for survival. PG 93 min Action, Adventure, Family. On a quest to find out what happened to his missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discover a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth.
R 90 min Horror. Newlyweds are terrorized by demonic forces after moving into a large house that was the site of a grisly mass murder a year before. The first one isn't a great film by any stretch of the imagination. It's quite flawed, but it's still a very well made classic haunted horror film. The remake tries so badly to be scary that it ends up being the opposite. PG 98 min Horror, Mystery.
Violinist Sydney Wells was accidentally blinded by her sister Helen when she was five years old. She submits to a cornea transplantation, and while recovering from the operation, she realizes that she is seeing dead people.
Another pointless remake. Also if you cast Jessica Alba, in my opinion one of the worst actresses in Hollywood as your protagonist, your film is already in the toilet. PG 88 min Comedy, Family, Romance. A widowed Coast Guard Admiral and a widow handbag designer fall in love and marry, much to the dismay of her 10 and his 8 children.
I love the original That said I hate the remake so much I want to find the people who made this film and kick them in the balls. A Las Vegas mob enforcer travels back to his hometown to investigate his brother's mysterious death. R 95 min Crime, Drama, Horror.
Sign In. With that caveat out of the way, this is one of the best remasters ever made. The visuals pay homage to the original and improve them without changing the art style.
Subtle additions to various missions help add continuity between the Modern Warfare trilogy when the devs didn't even need to do so. Raven went above and beyond creating this remaster. You can feel the passion by just playing the campaign or browsing the menus. This is the definite Call of Duty 4 experience.
MediEvil was a great PlayStation action-adventure game with a tongue in cheek Halloween theme. It stood out at the time for its art style and charm, but three generations have passed since its original release. MediEvil is a sad attempt of bringing this classic back, opting to use a third-person camera that is unintuitive to use.
Combat is as dated as ever, further ruined by inconsistent hitboxes and wonky animations. Unless you are on a nostalgia trip to revisit this classic PS1 title, this game is a hard pass. Not many games can captivate players with over ten minutes of horse riding followed with a boss, but Shadow of the Colossus offered a sense of scale that was unprecedented for that console generation, helping the PlayStation 2 reign supreme as the definite console.
This stunning action-adventure title has been beautifully remastered for the PlayStation 4 , running better and with higher fidelity than ever before.
Shadow of the Colossus isn't interested in pulse-pounding encounters from minute one to the end like Call of Duty or similar action titles. It instead has short spurts of adrenaline with gigantic boss fights, which are quickly followed with quiet time to reflect on your actions and the next goal.
Shadow of the Colossus taught the industry how important pacing is for video games, a lesson that it carries masterfully to this day. No one was expecting Dead Rising to be ported from the Xbox to the Wii without some issues or downgrades. No one was also expecting so many compromises to be made, either.
Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop is a terrible remaster that strips away much of what made the original great. Players can no longer take pictures, which is kind of a big deal because the protagonist—Frank Woods—is a journalist with a trusty camera. The focus has been shifted from open-world exploration to instanced missions with timers that don't reinforce the desperation and anxiety the original did so well.
Some bosses are flat out missing, and the focus on firearms makes the game way too easy. This is a great example of how not to remake a classic video game.
